About Me

Heyyyoo!! My name is Michelle Renee, and it took me what seems like forever (OK, about five years) to join the actual internet in this capacity, a.k.a... creating my own website. Now that I'm making it happen, it sure does feel a bit strange, a touch egotistical... but most of all, exciting as all get out.

I grew up and reside in Southern California, but I can't wait to travel the United States, and discover where mine and my family's forever home will be. No matter what, home is where my people are, and I can easily build one around that belief.

My family consists of one 7-year old boy, two teenagers aged 15 and 16, and a gloriously supportive husband of nearly 10 years, whom I've built the most precious life with and who lifts me up always. Whoever thinks your spouse cannot be your best friend, has never experienced such a partnership. I highly recommend only engaging in a relationship, wherein both persons are willing to grow together, yet separately and on their own terms. This promise makes all the difference in life happiness.

As for my profession, I have had the honor and pleasure of working as an administrator to my local psychoanalytic center. It's a very rewarding, extremely stimulating job, in which responsibility is high and relationships and dedication are strong.

Crystals and flowers are my jaaammmm. Surrounding myself with them uplifts me to higher dimensions and makes for a much more conscious, less anxious/grumpy mama. I love natural interior design and decorating. When everything in the home is beautiful and useful (sometimes with several uses per item) and made mostly of natural materials (plants, wood, glass, metal, stone, cloth, thread, reeds, etc.), daily life is so much more enjoyable and purposeful. 

Simple and conscious living was something I really delved deep into after birthing my youngest child. It could have been that I reached a riper age and realized it was time to pull my head out of the sand, or it could have resulted from having a larger household and a very small home, which can turn any mother inwards, looking for ways to ease anxiety and stress. Either way, I will never turn my back on conscious living. There's always something new to learn about ourselves, our children, our spouses, and general humanity.

Oh, one very new thing to me, which is a bit terrifying...I will soon have zero social media accounts. I left Facebook a few years back and never missed it (although I did suffer withdrawals for a week), and now, I am leaving Instagram due to the censorship and lack of privacy (among other reasons). *See my first blog post for more on that*

Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Journaling and typing it out, has been my preferred method of therapy and release. I tend to talk a lot too, but I save my words for those whom I trust most. Writing is a form of expression that lights my internal fire. It is the gateway to most of the insight I receive. 

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am over-the-moon excited at the thought of what will be created in this space. I eagerly anticipate the establishment and growth of the many authentic connections that will be birthed here.
